    On May 21 2024, Yubico announced the general avaiability of Yubico 5 Series and Security Key Firmware Version 5.7.

    The new firmware includes a range of upgrades for the 5 Series Keys including:

    • Enhanced Pin Complexity
    • Enterprise Attestation
    • FIDO Client to Authenticator Protocol (CTAP) 2.1
    • Expanded Passkey and Passwordless Storage Options
    • Expansion and Enhancement of Public Key Algorithms
